The Lysmata kuekenthali is a small marine shrimp measuring between 2 and 4 cm, appreciated for its remarkable ability to consume aiptasias, those invasive anemones that proliferate in many reef aquariums. Easy to acclimate, it is ideal for maintaining your tank's balance without harming your corals.
A Gentle Alternative to Chemical Control
Unlike other species that are sometimes more aggressive towards invertebrates, Lysmata kuekenthali does not attack corals and only targets undesirables. Its discretion and effectiveness make it one of the best aiptasia-controlling shrimps, alongside Lysmata wurdemanni.
Tips for Maximum Effectiveness
- Keep it in groups of 3 to 5 individuals for quick and visible results
